• Description: Thiazole-2-carboximidamide hydrochloride is a potent inhibitor of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) reverse transcriptase and human immunodeficiency virus type 2 (HIV-2) protease. Thiazole-2-carboximidamide hydrochloride inhibits the viral polymerase and can be used as a therapeutic agent for hepatitis B and C. Thiazole-2-carboximidamide hydrochloride is currently in clinical trials for HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C.
