Tetrindole mesylate has also been shown to inhibit growth factor receptor binding and receptor activation, as well as the growth of prostate cancer cells. This drug may also be useful for treating bone cancer, as it has been shown to inhibit radiation-induced osteoporosis and reduce the risk of radiation-induced cancers.
