Description :
N-7-(2',3',4'-Trihydroxybut-1'-yl)guanine is a reactive carcinogen that has been shown to form DNA adducts in the liver and thymus of rats. These DNA adducts are formed when N-7-(2',3',4'-trihydroxybut-1'-yl)guanine reacts with guanine in DNA. N-7-(2',3',4'-trihydroxybut-1'-yl)guanine is also mutagenic and can cause mutations, which may lead to cancer.
N-7-(2',3',4'-trihydroxybut-1'-yl)guanine is found in human tissues and has been quantified at concentrations of 0.0013 ± 0.0005 ng/g wet weight for the liver, 0.0011 ± 0.0006 ng/g wet weight for the kidney, and 0.00
