Informations sur le produit
2,3-Thiophenedicarboxylic anhydride is a compound that is used in the synthesis of thiophene and n-substituted thiophenes. It has been shown to be thermally stable at temperatures up to 400°C.
2,3-Thiophenedicarboxylic anhydride can be prepared by desulfurization of 2,5-dichlorothiophene with zinc dust in diethyl ether. The reaction is catalyzed by copper(II) chloride and proceeds via the formation of an adduct followed by dehydrogenation. It can also be synthesized from 2-methylthiophene by the pyrolytic annulation with ethylene glycol and thenyl chloride. This method proceeds through a series of equilibria between the products of pyrolysis and/or dehydrogenation.
