Description :
Tetramethylsulfonamide is an organic compound with the formula N(CH)SOCl. It is a white solid that is soluble in water, ethanol, acetone and ether. Tetramethylsulfonamide can be used as a chemical intermediate for the production of other chemicals or it can be used as a precursor to produce trifluoroacetic acid. Tetramethyldisulfonamide is also used to remove chlorine from wastewater treatment by converting it into chloride ions.
