4-(tert-Butyldimethylsilyloxy)cyclohexanone is a cyclohexanone derivative that can be synthesized by condensation of 4-bromocyclohexanol and t-butyldimethylchlorosilane in the presence of a catalytic amount of potassium tert-butoxide. Computational studies have shown that this reaction proceeds with enantioselectivity and high selectivities for the desired product.
