Description :
4-(1H-1,2,4-Triazol-1-yl)phenol is a triazole compound with fluorescence properties. It is an analytical reagent that can be used to measure the concentration of peroxide in water. 4-(1H-1,2,4-Triazol-1-yl)phenol can also be used as an antigen for detecting hepatitis B virus and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). 4-(1H-1,2,4-Triazol-1-yl)phenol has been shown to have antihepatitis activity in experimental animals. It is not known whether this compound has any effect on other viruses or bacteria.
