Description

Tetrahydrocannabivarin is a novel analogue of tetrahydrocannabinol found in Cannabis. It is an activator of the CB1 receptor. Tetrahydrocannabivarin binds to the CB1 receptor with a Kd of 0.23 nM, and inhibits voltage-gated sodium channels with a potency similar to that of THC. Tetrahydrocannabivarin also binds to the CB2 receptor, with a Kd of 1.7 nM and has been shown to inhibit T-cell proliferation.
