Description

S-triazine-1,3,5-triethanol is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of s-triazines. It is synthesized from fatty acids and potassium dichromate. This test compound has been shown to have microbicidal activity against bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. S-triazine-1,3,5-triethanol also has anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting leukotriene synthesis and blocking leukotriene receptor antagonists. This drug has been shown to cause allergic reactions in humans and may be carcinogenic in animals.
