Description

Tetraethyleneglycol monomethyl ether is a chemical compound that is used as a solvent and an inorganic acid. It is also used to produce particle board and plywood. Tetraethyleneglycol monomethyl ether has been shown to have minimal toxicity, with only mild effects on the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. It also has a low water solubility, which makes it suitable for use in certain industrial processes. Tetraethyleneglycol monomethyl ether can be found in film form or as an emulsion. The fluorescence probe tetraethyleneglycol monomethyl ether (TEM) has been used as a substrate for recording hiv infection.
