Description :
Tyrosinol is a carbonyl compound that can be stabilized by the addition of hydroxy groups. Tyrosinol has been shown to inhibit the activity of hormones and peptidomimetics, which are compounds that mimic the actions of natural hormones in living organisms. Tyrosinol has also been shown to inhibit the production of cyclic AMP, an important molecule in cellular signaling pathways. It is a member of a family of compounds called lactams, which have a ring structure consisting of six carbon atoms and five bonds.
