Description :
D-Tyrosine tert-butyl ester is a carbonyl that has been inactivated by an alkylation reaction. It is hydrophobic, nucleophilic, and can be taken up by tissues. D-Tyrosine tert-butyl ester is used in vitro to study the uptake of carboxylates by cells. In vivo studies have shown that D-Tyrosine tert-butyl ester can inhibit β-lactamase activity and acid transporter activity in the intestine.
