Description :1-(Trimethoxysilyl)octane is a glycol ether that is used as a solvent for organic and inorganic compounds. It can be used to clean radiation-sensitive surfaces, such as those found in the semiconductor industry. This compound has been shown to have a strong adsorption mechanism for hydrochloric acid, which may be due to its hydrophobic properties. 1-(Trimethoxysilyl)octane also has a high chemical stability, making it more useful than other glycol ethers for use in cleaning applications. 1-(Trimethoxysilyl)octane can be used as a fluorescent probe for fatty acids and boron nitride particles.
