Description

Tri-n-octylamine is an organic compound that is used as a reactant in chemical reactions. The reaction mechanism of tri-n-octylamine is not well understood, but it can be classified as an acidic compound. It is stable in the presence of citric acid and langmuir adsorption isotherm suggests that it will form stable complexes with other compounds. Tri-n-octylamine has been used to create microcapsules for delivery of pharmaceuticals and other chemicals. It has also been used to stabilize protocatechuic acid by reacting with sodium carbonate to create a reactive surface methodology. Finally, tri-n-octylamine has been shown to have synergistic effects when combined with sodium citrate
