Description

2,2,2-Trichloroethyl 3,5-Dihydroxybenzoate is a molecule that is soluble in DCM. This compound has been shown to have high yield and can be synthesized via hydrogenolysis at temperatures of 100°C. The compound has an architecture with functionalities such as phenolic and hydrophobic groups. 2,2,2-Trichloroethyl 3,5-Dihydroxybenzoate can be used as a monomer for polyester synthesis because it is a transition metal catalyst that undergoes polymerization reactions. The compound is also radially symmetric and size-exclusion chromatography shows that it has a molecular weight of approximately 278 g/mol.
