Description

4,4',4''-Tri-9-carbazolyltriphenylamine is a fluorescent molecule that has been used to detect the presence of DNA in solution. It emits light when excited by an external source. This compound is relatively efficient and can be activated thermally or by light. 4,4',4''-Tri-9-carbazolyltriphenylamine has been shown to allow for the detection of DNA duplexes in aqueous solutions with high efficiency and good sensitivity. The triplet state of this molecule is responsible for its phosphorescent properties.
