Description

Tetrahydroalstonine is a monoterpenoid indole alkaloid that has been shown to have an effect on blood disorders. Tetrahydroalstonine is found in the plant families of Ranunculaceae and Papaveraceae, which includes plants such as the poppy and the buttercup. This compound inhibits the activity of enzymes such as fatty acid synthase and enoyl reductase, which are involved in fatty acid synthesis.
