Description :
1,1,1-Trifluoro-2-heptadecanone is a model system for studying the cytosolic Ca2+ concentration. It inhibits polymerase chain reaction and has antiinflammatory activity in vitro. 1,1,1-Trifluoro-2-heptadecanone is an inhibitor of phospholipase A2 and has been shown to have therapeutic potential for treating metabolic disorders. This drug also exhibits neuroprotective effects on granule neurons in vitro and blocks cation channels in body formation. 1,1,1-Trifluoro-2-heptadecanone has been used as a diagnostic tool in biological samples from humans and animals.
