Trifluoromethanesulfinyl chloride is a reactive, asymmetric synthesis reagent that reacts with nucleophilic compounds to form the corresponding sulfinamides. Trifluoromethanesulfinyl chloride has been shown to react with amines to produce the corresponding sulfinamides in high yields. The chemical properties of this compound are similar to those of hydroxyl and hydroxy groups.
