Description :
(2-Trifluoromethylphenyl)acetylene is a ligand that is used in biomolecular and polymerized reactions. It has been shown to be an efficient cocatalyst for the cross-coupling of organic molecules, such as cyclopentadienyl. The compound is stable at temperatures up to 300 ˚C and can be cross-coupled with a variety of metal catalysts. (2-Trifluoromethylphenyl)acetylene is also biodegradable and can be used in the synthesis of cross-coupled products that are not affected by irradiation or high temperatures. This ligand has been shown to have stereospecific properties, which makes it suitable for use in gel permeation chromatography.
