Description

(E)-3-(Trifluoromethyl)cinnamic acid is a β-carboline alkaloid. It is a synthetic compound that has been shown to have inhibitory effects on ATP binding site in the presence of amide, cinnamic acids and cinnamic acid. (E)-3-(Trifluoromethyl)cinnamic acid has also been shown to be selective in its inhibition of calcimimetic. This compound also has antiplasmodial properties and can be used as a starting point for the synthesis of triazole and trifluoromethyl compounds.
