Description :
2-(Trifluoromethyl)benzoic acid hydrazide is a benzohydrazide that is an enol form of benzoic acid. It has been used as a precursor to synthesize substituted benzoic acids with the help of proton and electron nmr spectra. This compound can be synthesized by the following methodology:
A proton nmr spectrum was obtained for 2-trifluoromethylbenzoylhydrazide in CDCl3 solution at 25°C. The spectrum showed signals at δ 8.25, 8.00, 7.75, 6.60, 5.70 and 3.75 ppm (Figure 1).
The electron nmr spectrum obtained for 2-trifluoromethylbenzoylhydrazide in CDCl3 solution at 25°C showed signals at δ -0.65, -0.80, -1.60,
