Description

Uzarin is a natural compound that has been shown to have a number of potentially therapeutic properties. It has been shown to increase mitochondrial membrane potential and ATP levels, as well as to cause cardiac contractions in vivo. Uzarin also binds to the α subunit of the receptor which leads to increased receptor binding and less inhibition by antagonists. The minimal toxicity of uzarin makes it an attractive candidate for clinical trials.
