Ursolic acid methyl ester is a natural compound that belongs to the group of steroidal alkaloids. It is found in plants such as fructus ligustri and etoac extract. Ursolic acid methyl ester has shown inhibitory properties in rat liver microsomes. This compound has been used for the treatment of viral infections, such as herpes simplex virus and influenza virus, as well as for its antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi.
