Vitamin K may also be prescribed to prevent or treat infectious diseases such as pneumonia or tuberculosis. The physiological effects of this vitamin include energy metabolism and glucose injection into the bloodstream.br>br>Vitamin K interacts with drugs such as warfarin that are metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes.
