Description

3-Vinylbenzeneboronic acid is an organic compound that is used as a monomer in the synthesis of polymers. It can be prepared by reacting 3-vinylbenzeneboronic acid chloride with a triazine and then hydrolyzing the resulting ester. 3-Vinylbenzeneboronic acid has been found to have luminescent properties, which are due to its ability to act as an electron donor.
