Yibeinoside A is a cholinesterase inhibitor that has been shown to have functional studies, nova-pak c18 and liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization. Yibeinoside A has been shown to be effective in vivo for the treatment of chronic cough. Yibeinoside A is a steroidal alkaloid that belongs to the genus pallidiflora. It is one of the major components of the plant extracts from which it was isolated and purified. The structure of yibeinoside A has been confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and mass spectrometry (MS).
