• Description: ZG-10 is a gaseous antibacterial agent that is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. ZG-10 inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the ribosomal RNA of the bacterial cell and inhibiting protein synthesis. The uptake of ZG-10 by bacteria has been shown to be dependent on the morphology of the bacterial cells, with more complex organisms having a greater uptake rate than simpler organisms. This compound also has significant antibacterial activity against Acetaldehyde, which is involved in the metabolism of ethanol.
