Tert-butyldiphenylphosphine (tBDPP) is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It reacts with phenyl groups to form a stable phosphoryl linkage, which inhibits the tyrosine kinase domain. Tert-butyldiphenylphosphine has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of the enzyme activity of protein tyrosine kinases and has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by blocking receptor tyrosine kinase signalling pathways. The optimal reaction conditions for tert-butyldiphenylphosphine include a reaction time of 1 hour at room temperature and a molar ratio of 3:1 tBDPP:phenyl group.
