Description

Disperse Diazo Black 3BF is an organic dye that has a variety of applications, including use in photographic film. The dye is soluble in water and aqueous solutions and is also very light sensitive. When exposed to UV light, the azobenzene ring opens and emits a violet-blue color. The compound will fluoresce when irradiated with UV light and can be used as a reporter molecule for assays involving amines, carboxylic acids, or hydroxyl groups. Disperse Diazo Black 3BF also reacts with ferroelectric materials to form ferroelectric crystals.
