Informations sur le produit
- Phenol, 2-amino-6-methyl-4-nitro-
2-Amino-6-methyl-4-nitrophenol is an inducer of methaemoglobin formation. It has been used as an analytical reagent for the determination of blood and plasma proteins. 2-Amino-6-methyl-4-nitrophenol has also been shown to be a potent inducer in vivo, but it is not an inducer in vitro. This drug is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and does not bind to plasma proteins. Methaemoglobinaemia has been induced by this drug, which may be due to its ability to induce erythrocyte enzyme systems.
