5-Bromo-1-methylpyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione is a group p2 enhancement agent that can be used to enhance radiation damage. It has been shown to interact with radiation under 13c-nmr spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction studies. 5-Bromo-1-methylpyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione can also act as a radical chain or radical in the presence of reactive oxygen species. The ph profile of 5-Bromo-1-methylpyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione has been studied and it was found that this compound was stable in acidic conditions but unstable in basic conditions. The nmr spectra of 5-Bromo-1-methylpyrimidine 2,4(1H,3H)-dione have been studied and proton signals were observed at 1.
