Description :
1-Naphthohydroxamic Acid is a pharmaceutical preparation that is used to treat viral infections. It inhibits the enzyme RNA polymerase, which is responsible for the synthesis of DNA in cells. 1-Naphthohydroxamic Acid has been shown to have a bactericidal effect on various bacteria and fungi. It has also been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in mice by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting protein synthesis. This drug also has a formyl group that allows it to bind with nucleic acids, making it an effective antimicrobial agent.
