• Description: 4-(3-Hydroxyphenoxy)benzoic Acid (4-HPBA) is a metabolite of the insecticide 3-phenoxybenzoic acid. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of pyrethroid detoxification enzymes, such as cytochrome P450 and glutathione S transferases. 4-HPBA also shows immunoassay properties. The thermal analysis revealed that the compound is not thermally stable and undergoes a phase transition at approximately 300 °C.
