Quinolin-2-ylsulfanyl-acetic acid is a 2-chloroquinoline that has been shown to be an inhibitor of the enzyme mercaptoacetate methyltransferase, which converts 3-mercaptoacetate to methionine. It has also been shown to inhibit the activity of cytochrome P450 enzymes.
