Description :
Thiamethoxam-d4 is a synthetic insecticide that has been quantified in wastewater. It is an analogue of the insecticide thiamethoxam and has similar properties, including being an inhibitor of cholinesterase and an acetylcholine esterase inhibitor. Thiamethoxam-d4 is known to accumulate in the environment and this accumulation may be due to its low solubility in water, which leads to substantial deposition on soil surfaces. Thiamethoxam-d4 has been used for treatment of wastewater from industrial facilities with a high flow rate and high concentrations of estrone. This compound has shown good efficiency when injected into wastewater at a concentration of 0.1 ppm, which is 10 times higher than the concentration required for mineralization.
