Description :α-2,3-Sialyltransferase-in-1 is a protein that belongs to the family of glycosyltransferases. It has been shown to have a high affinity for α-2,3-sialic acid and α-2,6-sialic acid in vitro. This activity may be due to its ability to catalyze the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to free sialic acid. The purified recombinant human protein has been shown to inhibit the binding of human IgG1 and IgM antibodies with high specificity and low affinity.
