Informations sur le produit
- 2-Pyridinecarboxylic acid, 1,6-dihydro-6-oxo-, hydrazide
2-Pyridinecarboxylicacid, 1,6-dihydro-6-oxo-, hydrazide is a fluorescent chemosensor that can be used to detect hypochlorite. The compound has an orange color that changes in the presence of hypochlorite, which is detected by colorimetric detection. This chemical reacts with the hypochlorite, which is found in bleach and other household cleaners, to form a quinone imine. The quinone imine absorbs light at wavelengths of 400 nm and shorter (blue) and emits light at wavelengths of 450 nm and longer (yellow). When the compound reacts with hypochlorite, it produces a change in fluorescence from blue to yellow. This reaction also causes a change in color from orange to yellow. This chemical has been shown to have low detection limits for cations such as Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Fe3+ and Mn2+.
