• Description: Gamitrinib is a small molecule that inhibits polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). Gamitrinib binds to the polymerase enzyme, blocking DNA replication. It also has anti-tumor effects, inhibiting the growth of skin cancer cells. Gamitrinib blocks mitochondrial functions by binding to the mitochondrial DNA. This drug also has synergistic effects with other cancer drugs, such as temozolomide. Gamitrinib is a competitive inhibitor of ryanodine receptor and blocks mitochondrial membrane potential, leading to cell death.
