Description :1,3,5,7-Tetrabromoadamantane is a molecule that has been synthesized and introduced as a mediator to introduce oxidants. The synthesis of this molecule can also be achieved by reacting synthons such as tetraphenylmethane with hydrochloric acid. 1,3,5,7-Tetrabromoadamantane is an equivalence mediator because it can mediate a redox reaction in which the oxidizing agent is reduced and the reducing agent is oxidized.
