Informations sur le produit
2-Phenylquinazoline-4-carboxylic acid (2PCA) is a small molecule that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of inflammation. 2PCA has been shown to inhibit the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-6, and to suppress the expression of inflammatory markers such as COX-2, cytokine receptor antagonists, and microglial activation markers. The mechanism of action appears to be due to its ability to modify microglial function. This drug is orally bioavailable and can cross the blood brain barrier. 2PCA also inhibits muscle spasms induced by neurokinin A via a mechanism that involves inhibition of calcium release from intracellular stores.
