• Description: Sodium iodate is a chemical compound with the formula NaIO3. It is an ionic salt that has a high solubility in water and can be used as an oxidizing agent. Sodium iodate is also used in the treatment of eye disorders and to generate radioactive iodine for nuclear medicine imaging.
