Description :
1-Docosanethiol is an organic compound that is used as a corrosion inhibitor. It has been shown to have antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria and fungi, such as Candida albicans. 1-Docosanethiol binds to the surface of the bacterial cell wall and interferes with its ability to metabolize glucose. This inhibits the growth of the yeast, eventually leading to cell death. 1-Docosanethiol has also been shown to be a potent perovskite material with excellent stability in air or water.
