Description

1,2 Alpha-glucosylgalactosyl-o-hydroxylysine is a glycan that appears in the form of a white powder. It is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of collagen and has been shown to have growth factor-β1 activity. Glycans are polysaccharides that are composed of sugar molecules linked together by glycosidic bonds. The carbohydrate structure of 1,2 Alpha-glucosylgalactosyl-o-hydroxylysine consists of a series of glucose molecules linked together with α1,2 linkage and with an attached galactose molecule at position 2.
