6-bromo-3-chloro-1H-indole is an unidentified chemical that has been shown to inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells and may be a potential anticancer drug. It belongs to a class of compounds called interspecific, which is a type of chemical that does not have any known function in nature. 6-bromo-3-chloro-1H-indole has been shown to bind to the mda-mb231 breast cancer cell line by competitive inhibition and inhibits the production of tyramine, which is a natural compound that stimulates the growth of these cells. This drug also inhibits ascidian larvae, monile worms, and didemnum larvae. 6Bromo 3Chloro 1H Indole has not yet been tested on invertebrates such as fish or insects.
