Description :D-Octahydroindole-2-carboxylic acid is a hydrogen chloride salt of D-octahydroindole-2-carboxylic acid. It is an opioid receptor agonist with a δ affinity, and has been shown to inhibit thrombin. D-Octahydroindole-2-carboxylic acid has also been shown to have anti-cancer properties, inhibiting the growth of cancer cells by blocking the production of prostaglandins. It has also been found to reduce blood pressure in rats by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for the conversion of angiotensin I into angiotensin II.
