Description :
1-[6,7-dimethyl-2-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl]pyrrolidine (NAP) is a compound that has been shown to have antioxidant properties and can be used to protect the brain from oxidative damage. It is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be able to cross the blood brain barrier and inhibit the activity of formaldehyde dehydrogenase in rat hepatocytes. NAP has also been shown to attenuate the neurotoxicity induced by ischemia in rats.
