PF 06465469 is a chimeric antigen receptor, a type of antibody that can find and bind to cancer cells because it has an attached fragment of the protein that the cancer cells produce. This protein fragment is called an antigen. The PF 06465469 antibody binds to the antigen on the surface of the cancer cell and triggers an immune response in which other white blood cells (T-cells) attack and destroy the cancer. The linker between the antibody and antigen is called a peptide. PF 06465469 has shown effectiveness against T-cell lymphomas, lung cancers, and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. It may also be able to reduce or eliminate tumor growth by blocking certain proteins from being expressed in the cell.
