Description :
BBT594 is a potent and selective inhibitor of the JAK2 V617F mutant. BBT594 blocks the binding of JAK2 to its natural substrate, which inhibits the activation of downstream signaling pathways. Jak2 v617f is an oncogene that has been implicated in many forms of cancer, including leukemia and melanoma. The compound has been shown to inhibit cellular transformation in vivo and is synergistic with other anticancer drugs such as dasatinib and hematopoietic cell growth factor. In a study using human malignant melanoma cells, BBT594 induced apoptosis without affecting normal cells.
