Lenalidomide-I is a peptidomimetic of the natural human protein thalidomide. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of various receptor tyrosine kinases, such as c-Kit, CDK4 and CDK6. It also activates Lck, which is an enzyme that plays a key role in the activation of T cells. This drug has been used as a research tool for determining the structure and function of these proteins.
